BELMOND HOTEL CIPRIANI TRANSFORMS INTO INSPIRING 'ART PARK' FOR 58TH VENICE BIENNALE OF ART
To mark the 58th Venice Biennale of Art, Belmond Hotel Cipriani transforms its historic grounds and famous dining spaces into a thrilling new art park and studio, showcasing internationally acclaimed sculptors, artists and galleries.
In the hallways, four bright works are displayed by Mauro Bergonzoli, the eclectic Milanese painter: Carnevale (2016, acrylic on canvas, 150 x 120 cm), Gold in Venice (2018, acrylic on canvas, 60x50 cm), Dopo il Ballo, (2016, acrylic on canvas, 100x100 cm), and La Fenice (2019, acrylic on canvas, 40x30 cm). The canvases are part of Venice, a series of modern illustrations that pay homage to the unique history and the ethereal beauty of the eighteenth-century Venetian Republic. Bergonzoli's style offers a visionary interpretation of space and time, through the combination of black strokes and bright colours.
